Commissions

I offer commission artworks that can be painted to your specifications.  With my expertise with animal artwork I am commonly asked to paint people‘s pets ranging from cows to dogs.  Feel free to discuss potential commissions with me by email (please note if I do not feel confident with the subject matter I may refuse to take on your commission as I want you to have the best possible result)

I only work with acrylic on canvas for commission work and pricing is generally dictated by the size of the canvas.  Commission paintings start from $250 AUD and pricing can be discussed directly with me by email.  

The commission process generally involves the following: 

• initial email to discuss subject and cost.  A deposit is generally requested prior to starting work to secure your painting

• you provide me with several good quality reference photos (if possible).  Generally the better the reference photos, the more opportunity I have to bring your subject to life

• as work starts, I will do my best to give you  work in progress updates through the process.  Sometimes this can happen quite quickly once started.   Bear in mind that I work part time in an intensive job as a veterinarian and this will often factor into time available for these paintings.  I generally aim to have your commission done within 6 to 8 weeks

Once your commission is finished and final payment received, we can then arrange shipping or local delivery.   Please note that shipping pricing and method depends on the size of the painting and larger paintings can incur a larger postal/ courier fee.
